This past summer marked the 10th year the Defense Commissary Agency participated in the federal government's Workforce Recruitment Program. The program helps DeCA recruit qualified people into its workforce by giving college students with disabilities an opportunity to demonstrate their talents. Eric Swayzee, the Defense Commissary Agency's chief of the operations division since July 2007, has been selected the agency's new deputy director of performance and policy, effective Dec. 7. Martin Jackson, formerly store director for the Fort Sam Houston Commissary, Texas, is now the Defense Commissary Agency's Zone 6 manager, overseeing the operation of 10 commissaries in Texas. Jackson replaced Dave Carey who now serves as director of operations for DeCA West.
