- Golden Eagle
This morning I went on one of my usual rides up Brown mountain and was amazed by the sight of this Golden Eagle. This bird looked amazing in the morning sun and showed his patience as I took this photo. Every day is a good day and some days are even better. You may say this was a sign or just a great day! - On any Sunday
A typical Sunday ride usually leads me to a mountain top. On this day it was the Cape of Good Hope. On any given week I try to eat right go to the gym and keep myself in shape for my epic Sunday ride. I know I have a passion for health and I look at each day with enthusiasm to pursue fitness. It’s not always easy but the rewards are endless. Having a goal keeps me focused and knowing that drives me through the week for that next Sunday ride. - First Class
This Sunday I start a “get on your bike and get fit ride” for the First Pasadena Marathon Bike Tour by offering a free class. This is NOT a race paced ride. It is a family fun ride to get yourself in condition to be a part of this history making event. I will meet you at RoseBowl Aquatics Center by the last South-end entrance exit off N. Arroyo Blvd.Follow up to the first class or I should say first ride to get ready for the Pasadena Marathon Bike Tour. My son Dustin and I rode our bikes to the RoseBowl and did not find anyone waiting so we stretched then did one lap. Since we rode from our house the total distance added up to 12 miles. Outdoor Fitness is the newly named section of my website. What does it mean and why new training? First of all, Training or Working Out outdoors is an exciting way to get fit. I don’t want to mislead you with the word “BootCamp” because it’s not a “Military style” of basic push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks and pull ups that you might think of from past experiences in school or the Armed Forces. This is a customized systematic routine that takes you from your current fitness level to a whole new level of functional fitness and stability. Gradually gaining confidence in you strengths and abilities from a well rounded program that is designed to get you quick results. Your goals may very but all types of outdoor fitness activities require a solid foundation of strength speed and agility from your core to all your muscles and joints. Prepare for your event with the same energy and motivation that I’m known for in my Spin classes,personal training and mountain biking.
